The 2026 edition of Cororgano—the longest-running festival conceived and organized by the Coro Polifonico di Ruda—promises to be an event of outstanding artistic quality. The festival will open in Trieste at the Chiesa evangelico-luterana di Trieste on Friday, 28 August. The young organist Luca Gorla will perform on the church’s two historic organs. Born in Tradate (Varese) in 2001, Gorla began studying music at the age of six. He initially trained at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Como and graduated cum laude in Organ and Organ Composition from the “A. Boito” Conservatory in Parma, studying under E. Viccardi. He subsequently completed a postgraduate degree in organ under R. Marini at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome. In Trieste, he will present a program ranging from seventeenth-century music to the Romantic period. Cororgano will then move to Friuli. On Saturday, 29 August, at 8:30 p.m., Duomo di Palmanova will host organist Sander van den Houten, who will present a program of Baroque music. The festival will then showcase the talent and creativity of Manuel Tomadin, with two concerts highlighting its international dimension. On Sunday, 30 August, at 5:00 p.m., Tomadin will perform on the Zanin organ at the Duomo di Spilimbergo. On Monday, 31 August, he will perform at the Koper Cathedral, beginning at 8:30 p.m. In short, four concerts not to be missed.
