On Tuesday 22 April, at the church of the Santissimo Redentore in Palmanova, the audio/video recording of the third and final Genesis scene dedicated to the star-shaped city was completed. With the recording of "Sedvalinka" and the related story of the princess Fatma of Bosnia, taken prisoner by the Venetians and imprisoned in the prisons of the star-shaped city, an intense and emotional journey in stages concludes that over the last three years has involved, for the creation of the entire work, the Polifonico directed by Fabiana Noro, the pianists Matteo Andri and Ferdinando Mussutto, the singer Elsa Martin and the actress Aida Talliente. The work in three scenes by Renato Miani based on texts by Angelo Floramo highlights the events and history of three female figures relating to the three UNESCO cities of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region: Bassilla for Aquileia, Romilda for Cividale del Friuli and Fatma of Bosnia for Palmanova. The work is expected to be released by the end of the year both on DVD, including an illustrated booklet, and on digital platforms.
The Polifonico thus confirms itself as a primary player in the cultural panorama of the territory by enhancing the artistic and technical excellence (audio recordings by Stefano Amerio Artesuono and video recordings by ArteVideo) present in our region. With an original musical work, directly commissioned by the Polifonico, we want to follow an important path to give the right and concrete emphasis to the historical importance of the events that have characterized moments worthy of study and representation. A heartfelt thanks to the parish of Palmanova for the hospitality in the Cathedral.
