In our headquarters in via Mosettig, work has begun on cataloging the legacy of maestro Giovanni Famea (1907-2006), director of the Tita Birchebner choir of Tapogliano for decades. The works were assigned to Luca Allibardi's Omniadoc. In concrete terms, the cataloging is carried out by Vanni Feresin, born in 1980, historian and archivist, paleographer and diplomat, who graduated with honors from the School of Archiving, Paleography and Diplomatics at the Vatican Apostolic Archive, formerly the Vatican Secret Archive. Feresin has been involved in safeguarding the cultural and documentary heritage of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region for over a decade, reorganizing prestigious ecclesiastical and public archives in the area. The Famea archive was donated to the Polifonico by the musician's heirs with the commitment, precisely, to reorganize it and make it available to researchers, scholars, musicians and lovers of choral singing in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
Once the reorganization of the Famea legacy has been carried out, Feresin will also take care of the reorganization of the legacy of maestro Secondo Delbianco (1910-1981), former director of the Polifonico from 1945 to 1951 and of other choirs in the lower Friuli area in the central years of the last century.
