Concerts in Trieste, Palmanova and Marano Lagunare
Protagonists Italian and foreign organists
Enhance the organ heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia
Valuing the organ heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia, proposing quality music and giving the regional public the opportunity to listen to some of the most internationally awarded Italian and foreign organists: these are the objectives of Cororgano XXV edition, billboard signed by the Ruda Polyphonic Choir and supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Danieli.
The festival will start on Friday 25 August from Trieste: in the Evangelical-Lutheran church, starting at 21, the organist Fabio Ciofini will perform, proposing music by Carissimi, Sweelink, Rossi, Krebs, von Noordt and Bach. Ciofini, director of the Hermans Academy, will play on the two organs of the church: the Tronci of 1793 and the Steinmeyer of 1874.
On Saturday 26 August the program will move to the cathedral of Palmanova: at 6 pm the Slovak organist Vladimir Kopec, currently titular of the cathedral of Sant'Emeramo in Nitra, will perform. It will offer music by Pasquini, Buxtehude, Stanley, Morandi, Bach and Mozart.
Sunday 27 August the festival will move to Marano Lagunare for the grand finale. In the parish church of San Martino, again at 6 pm, the organist Henk Verhoef will play, winner of first prizes in various international competitions and permanently engaged in concerts in Europe and Asia. In Marano, on the extraordinary Dacci organ, he will play music by Sweelimnk, Gibbons, Froberger and Fischer.
