The Return of Pasolini to Ruda
Elsa Martin (voice) and Stefano Battaglia (piano) brought Pier Paolo Pasolini back to Ruda. The celebrated poet was active between 1945 and 1947 in several public meetings in the small town of the Lower Friuli area, together with his friend, the painter Giuseppe Zigaina from Cervignano del Friuli.
Martin and Battaglia brought to the Town Council Hall - before an attentive and engaged audience - the epic atmosphere of Pasolini’s Friulian poetry, from "Aghe di Casarsa" and "Pari nestri" to "Il cjant da lis cjampanis".
It was an emotional evening of high cultural value, made unforgettable by the artistry of Martin and Battaglia.
