The Polifonico in Lombardy: Concerts in Brescia and Grassobbio

The Coro Polifonico di Ruda is heading to Lombardy for a series of performances under the direction of Fabiana Noro: on 6 November in Brescia and on Saturday, 7 November, at the parish church in Grassobbio. Joining the choir—which recently gave an outstanding performance in Pordenone, where it presented Renato Miani’s work Genesi—will be Ferdinando Mussutto (piano), Gabriele Rampogna (percussion) and Chiara Trentin (cello). The programme prepared by the Friulian choir for these two events, organized in collaboration with the local Fogolârs Furlans (Friulian associations abroad) and Ente Friuli nel Mondo, is particularly interesting. It will take the audience on a journey through contemporary music, while also featuring works from the Orthodox sacred repertoire. The concerts will also provide an opportunity to remember the victims of the 1976 earthquake with a performance of Madonute, featuring a text by Pier Paolo Pasolini. The piece is part of Gianmartino Durighello’s oratorio, which was performed last spring in Venzone and Aquileia.
