The Concerts in the Basilica series—organized by the Socoba in collaboration with the Coro Polifonico di Ruda—welcomed the Emilia-Romagna Youth Choir, conducted by Elisa Dal Corso. At the Basilica di Sant'Eufemia in Grado, the choir presented a program entirely dedicated to the figure of Mary, ranging from sixteenth-century composers such as Tomás Luis de Victoria, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and Claudio Monteverdi to contemporary composers including Franz Biebl, Ola Gjeilo, and Astor Piazzolla, with the Romantic repertoire represented by Josef Rheinberger and Sergei Rachmaninoff. It was an enjoyable concert, warmly received by the audience with prolonged applause. As an encore, the choir performed Io resto qui by Venetian composer Giorgio Susana, with the singers spatially arranged throughout the venue.

The Concerts in the Basilica series now moves to Aquileia. On 16 August, La Sinfonietta del Friuli Venezia Giulia, conducted by Luisa Sello, will take the stage.
