The Coro Giovanile Regionale del Friuli Venezia Giulia, conducted by Fabiana Noro, will be the next featured ensemble in the Concerts in the Basilica 2026 series, organized by the Società per la Conservazione della Basilica di Aquileia in collaboration with the Coro Polifonico di Ruda. The choir will perform on Tuesday, 14 July, at the Basilica di Sant'Eufemia in Grado, with the concert beginning at 8:45 p.m. The program selected by the conductor is particularly noteworthy: all the works are based on texts by distinguished poets, ranging from Bede and Rainer Maria Rilke to Jean Racine, Emily Dickinson, and Alda Merini. The musical settings are by Morten Lauridsen, Gabriel Fauré, Alessio Domini, Marco Sofianopulo, Arvo Pärt, and Roberto Brisotto. The Regional Youth Choir was founded in 2016 as a choral workshop for young singers. Over the years, it has been conducted by Petra Grassi, Mirko Ferlan, and, since 2024, by Fabiana Noro.
