A Late August Dedicated to Organ Music

Late August was entirely devoted to organ music for the Coro Polifonico di Ruda. The Cororgano festival—conceived and continuously organized by the choir, with the support of the Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia and Fondazione Friuli—toured Trieste, Palmanova, Spilimbergo, and Koper, giving the 2026 edition an international dimension. The concert in Trieste on 28 August featured the young organist Luca Gorla, while the following day in Palmanova, Dutch organist Sander van den Houten took the stage. The final two concerts, in Spilimbergo and Koper, featured Manuel Tomadin, who also serves as the festival’s artistic director. His programs ranged from Baroque music to Romanticism and contemporary repertoire. The audiences were consistently large, with several encores requested and performed.
