Princess Fatma of Bosnia - taken prisoner by Venetian troops in the war against the Austro-Hungarian Empire and taken to prison in the star-shaped city - is the protagonist of the third and final scene of the opera "Genesis" dedicated to the city of Palmanova. In recent weeks the choir has continued to study the individual parts, in particular the piece that recalls the seventeenth-century wars between the two superpowers fought in Friulian territory and therefore the drama of Fatma locked up in the prisons of Palma. This is the last chapter of the opera created by the composer Renato Miani with lyrics by Angelo Floramo commissioned by the Polifonico to celebrate in music the three Unesco cities of our Region and, at the same time, enhance three female figures with their experiences and their stories.
