With a simple but touching ceremony, all of Friuli bid its final farewell to the engineer. Gianpietro Benedetti, president of Danieli, who passed away prematurely a few days ago. The cathedral of Udine was packed with political, entrepreneurial and scholastic personalities, but also with many ordinary people who did not want to miss the tribute to a far-sighted, concrete and at the same time visionary industrialist and to a patron who wanted and knew how to enhance the beauties of the Friulian capital with restoration interventions - as the former mayor Pietro Fontanini recalled - of particular architectural importance. For the Polifonico it was a pride to be able to actively participate in this commemoration through songs of the Orthodox liturgy such as the initial "Cherubic Hymne" by Dmitri Bortnjanski and concluding with "Stelutis Alpinis" by Arturo Zardini.
