Our choir will be among the five 'laboratory choirs' of the 3rd International Competition "Fosco Corti" in Turin. The competition - with preliminary rounds, semi-finals and final - is scheduled for October 19 and 20 at the State Conservatory of Music "G. Verdi" in Turin and is reserved for young choir directors. 18 directors from 14 countries around the world were admitted out of 104 applications received. Organized by Feniarco in collaboration with the Conservatory, the Associazione Cori Piemontesi and in partnership with the European Choral Association, the Italian Youth Choir, the Youth Choir "With us" of Rome, the "Coro da camera di Torino" and the "S:t Jacobs Chamber Choir" of Stockholm will also participate in the competition as laboratory choirs. The Polifonico will be available to the young conductors competing in the semi-final round of the competition. In this phase the conductors will perform pieces by Bruckner, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Hauptmann and Rheinberger.
